Packers 31, Cardinals 14

Sweet! The Packers have won two in a row, keep improving every week and are on their way to .500. It's a whole new season if they can hit .500. Yesterday's game was fun to watch. We witnessed Brett Favre's first ever Lambeau Leap, as can be seen in this picture. He ran in for his first rushing TD since 2001. He didn't quite have the ups that the wide-receivers have, but who says white men can't jump :P It was so cool to see him having fun. I love this quote from Donald Driver on the whole thing: "When he did it, everybody was jumping up, hugging and clapping, and he gets to me and I look at him, and I said, 'Don't even try to give me a high-five. Go do a Lambeau Leap,'" Driver said. "He turns around, smiles, and I didn't think he was going to do it, and he went up there and jumped. I was just going nuts because I knew that was his first one." And Favre's quote on it: "I hope it's the last one." I love it!

Positives:

  1. The Offensive Line: They were great this week, and they are definitely improving each week. They opened enough holes for two different running backs, Ahman Green and Vernand Morency, to each get 100+ yards. That hasn't happened since 1985!
  2. The Packers being able to score 31 points in spite of not having Greg Jennings in the game.
  3. Aaron Kampman: He had 2 sacks, bringing his total on the year to 8 1/2. That's two better than last year and he still has 9 games to play.
  4. Ahman Green: He rushed for two TD's in the game, broke Paul Hornung's record for TD's of 50. He has quite a ways to go to catch Jim Taylor though with 81.

Negatives:

  1. The botched fake-field goal on their first possession. Kind of a goofy play call, but I suppose, if there is ever a good time to try some trickery, it is when there is no score and it's early in the game.

Wow, that list of negatives is getting pretty short. Let's hope it stays this way.

Next week: Packers (3-4) at Bills (2-5)

Think of the people who will be in the Favre lambeau leap picture forever. One other neg. a confused defense that has to use up time outs. I didn't have time to go over the play but it was because a reciever was not covered. I hope this was not another can't get the right number of players on the field thing again.

I agree, that is another negative. But maybe another positive is that they noticed a problem before the play ran and called the time out. It would have been a worse negative if that uncovered receiver would have scored!

Wheres this weeks post?
POS; Parkers played well enough to win the game.
NEG: They gave it away.
At this point in the season you don't need to say much more.
