Packers 9, Eagles 31

Well, it was a rough one. That's all there really is to say.

Negatives:
  1. 2 words: Ahmad Carroll. Apparently, the Packers agree, because they released him yesterday.
  2. The Packers were a completely different team in the second half. What happened?
  3. Donald Driver's dropped pass...yeah, you know what one I'm talking about. I think that was really when the momentum changed...
  4. Where was Charles Woodson? Why was Carroll in there in the first place?
  5. Heard in Mike McCarthy's press conference that there were two plays in which the Packers only had 10 men on the field in defense - one of which resulted a TD. What's that about? Isn't that what the preseason is for - to figure out personnel packages?

Postives:

  1. Dave Rayner's field goals: it's good to know that he can kick the long ones.
  2. RB Vernand Morency: who's this guy you ask? Well, it's who the Packers traded for Samkon Gado. But he had a pretty good game for his first start. Besides his fumble, that is.
  3. Favre started his 225th consecutive game; 245 if you count playoffs. That's a pretty incredible streak for a quarterback and one that I don't think will ever be beaten. He got hit pretty hard at the end of the game...but I'm sure he'll be there for number 226.
  4. Pulling Favre out and putting in Rodgers. It was obvious that the game was over at that point. No sense in keeping Favre in there any longer. Rodgers didn't do too much, but he did have a decent drive - too bad they didn't score.
  5. That's all I got...I told you it was rough.

Next week: Packers (1-3) vs. Rams (3-1)

Nice job. Its just the little sports wrighter in you. Did you even get through 1/2 of the bag of mail? Has the grand doggy got any grey hairs yet? Are you worried about Rossel having bike withdrawel this winter?Corol will get picked up by another team and make the pro bowl. Only ten on the field? Ask the coach. Shermen needed a red flag asst. Maybe this guy neededs an 11th finger asst.
