Happy Draft Eve!

Don't come over to our house tomorrow, unless you don't mind having to watch the NFL Draft, cause let me tell you, it will be on all day. I don't think I've been this excited about a draft in a long time. Maybe that's because the Packers are picking 5th this year...or it could be that I've become a sports radio junkie and have never really been into the hype surrounding the draft, until this year. Either way, the draft promises to be interesting this year. There are a lot of good, first-year impact players. The kind of players that the Pack needs. I hope they get A.J. Hawk. This article says he was born to wear green and gold. That's pretty cool. But Ted Thompson has been known to trade down, and if that happens, A.J. Hawk won't be around anymore by the time the Packers pick. And then there is the whole Javon Walker saga. Step out, Brett Favre saga. Step in, Javon Walker. He wants out. It's really too bad, but I think the Packers and Brett kind of burned a bridge there. We should be able to get some decent picks by trading him...maybe a couple of 2nd rounders? That would be great, although the Packers are pretty thin at WR right now, and unfortunately, this draft isn't big on receivers. Ahhh, don't you just love football???

I'm with you Nikki, I want to see Hawk in Green and Gold too. Walker is worth at least one 2nd round pick and maybe a 3rd round pick, I don't think we'll get two 2nd round picks for him. It all depends on how the docs feel his ACL rehab is going.
